The Client:
Volley Recruit is delighted to present an exciting job opportunity in Wingfield, SA. We are working with a dynamic company dedicated to sustainability and resource recovery. With an expanding presence in the industry, we are searching for a talented Maintenance Fitter to join their team.

The Opportunity:
Are you seeking a long-term, secure role with ample growth potential? Our client is experiencing significant growth in 2023 due to new business acquisitions and plant expansions. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play a vital role in their operation, working closely with plant operators and contributing to the success of their Wingfield site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Championing safety and promoting safe work practices
  • Collaborating on new plant design, including analysing drawings and proposing maintenance improvements
  • Expertise in gearbox and bearing removal and refitting.
  • Conducting repairs and maintenance on screening and crushing equipment
  • Handling repairs and maintenance for mobile plant
  • Engaging in general fabrication and welding tasks

About You:

  • Minimum Cert III Trade Certificate – Fitter
  • Ideally, possess a minimum of 1 year of post trade experience (though not mandatory)
  • Hold a Forklift Licence – Not essential
  • Desirable: Riggers & Confined Space High Risk Tickets
  • Welding experience a must
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and development
  • Must be capable of passing a pre-employment medical
