Volley Recruit have multiple opportunities for Heavy Diesel Mechanics!

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you’ll have the authority to execute duties crucial to upholding our high standards of performance.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Be the cornerstone of our vehicle maintenance by completing Vehicle Defect Notices meticulously.
  • Work closely with the Workshop Foreman, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Keep operations smooth by promptly notifying the Workshop Foreman of any parts needed for repairs, meticulously recording all used parts.
  • Ensure vehicles receive top-notch care by adhering to proper service schedules, leaving no detail overlooked.
  • Provide clarity to our records by accurately documenting inventory items, part numbers, oils, and labour on Work Detail sheets.
  • Maintain meticulous records of labour hours through daily timesheets, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Lead by example by supervising and supporting the training of apprentices, shaping the next generation of skilled professionals.
  • Ensure the safety and reliability by thoroughly inspecting vehicles before they leave the workshop.
  • Go the extra mile by working overtime when necessary to ensure our vehicles are ready for operation.
  • Uphold our professional image by maintaining a tidy work environment and wearing our company uniform with pride.
  • Embrace our commitment to safety and environmental responsibility by adhering to all relevant procedures and policies.

About you:

Essential qualifications/experience:

  • Experience as a Qualified Diesel Mechanic.
  • HR Drivers Licence
  • Flexibility to learn and adapt to new tasks.
  • Commitment to safety protocols.
